Following the resounding success of the first statue dedicated to the genius of Charlie Chaplin, here's a tribute to one of his most beloved films: "The Kid" (1921). A film that moved and entertained entire generations and still amazes today with the brilliance of Chaplin's acting and that of the child played by Jackie Coogan. The greatness of a work of art is also measured by its emotional permanence over time—that is, how much it still manages to move us, and in this case, even entertain us, after nearly a hundred years. Chaplin's "The Kid" is the most obvious example of this, and it's one of the reasons that inspired us to create this statue as a tribute to an absolute masterpiece of cinema. The great silent cinema obviously can't be "listened to," but it is "felt" thanks to the emotional power it releases every time it is broadcast or projected. It was with this in mind that we began designing the statue, and we believe the result is evident. A wealth of detail that captivates the eye, two expressions that hit the mark and convey the full impact of the film. Another small masterpiece of sculpting and care, like the challenging "uncolored" coloring, makes the "Old & Rare" statues unique in the international 3D collecting scene.
